If you argue for your limitations, you get to keep them

Try this test:

  1. Raise your right arm above your head as high as you can

  2. Now raise it just a little bit higher

You can go higher, it's mildly uncomfortable, but you can do it with a little effort.

Sometimes it's as simple as reminding yourself of this, other times you just need someone to give you a little nudge to stretch yourself.

While it might not seem like much, especially at the time, a few percent stretch here and there adds up exponentially.
